  • Dark room = the setting for the film to take place
  • Single dim light = sets the tone of the film, a tense darkroom is a great place for a poker game to take place
  • 4-5 chairs = for the players to sit at the table
  • Table = for the game to take place
  • Green table cloth = to resemble the traditional casino setting 
  • Deck of Cards = to use for the game
  • Poker Chips = to make action in the pot
  • Revolver = for Russian roulette
  • tape = To cover up light to make it dark enough
  • fake blood = in case anyone gets shot in Russian roulette





Still need to get black spray paint to change the colour of the revolver 
Still need to get green table cloth
Still need to get foldable table
Still need to get enough poker chips

Evaluative Analysis   Jack Talbot My production is the short film The Game – a film that establishes and develops a character. The Game explores the thought process of a gambler, who finds himself in high stakes poker game which then leads to an intense game of Russian roulette. Whilst making The Game, my intentions were to make the audience empathise with the narrator, and to show them how judgement takes place in the mind. I was inspired by films such as The Deerhunter, Locked Stocked and two smoking barrels and Rounders. In preparation for this task I watched: La Jetee by Marker, The Gunslinger by Kissack, Curfew by Christensen, Wasp by Arnold, and High Maintenance by Van. In terms of the story, I chose to have an almost circular narrative.
